Group Benefits
Why Kohlhase Insurance instead of some other agent or broker?
Experience: I have been in the industry for 10 years. Before I became an agent I worked with approximately 450 agents as a marketing rep for one of the largest health insurance providers in the country. This experience gave me an insight into how pricing is managed as well as effective ways to get claims paid etc. When I became an agent I was able to take the best practices of the agencies I had been working with to improve the overall experience of my clients. These experiences can benefit our clientele financially as well as making the day-to-day management of benefits run as efficiently as possible.

Why Employers Provide Benefits?
1. Employees Request.
92% of employees report that Medical benefits are the most important issue when considering an employers benefit plan.
2. Can be used as a marketing tool to attract top quality staff.
3. Improve Employee Retention.
Saves hiring and retraining cost.
“65% of employees state that benefits are an important reason for staying with their employer.”
4. Preventative benefits can reduce sick days.
5. Protects employees from their number one financial liability, bankruptcy due to unexpected medical bills.
“The number one cause of bankruptcy in the U.S. is unexpected medical expenses.”
Many employees think their medical benefits will be paid for even if they don’t have health coverage.
“The number one concern of 71% of all employees is having enough money to pay bills during a period of income loss.”
Why Employers Don’t Provide Benefits?
1. Cost.
With a combination of health and voluntary benefits almost any employer can offer a benefit package that will meet the needs of his/her staff.
2. Don’t understand how easy it is to provide benefits.
3. Don’t understand what the benefits can or will do for them.
“Only 40% of employees understand which employee benefits offerings best meet their needs.”
“Almost half (42%) of all employees would like their employer to provide them with access to a financial planner…”
What are the steps if I want to add or change benefits?
